Dear Editor:
In the Wednesday Nov. 14, 2018 edition of the NYT, an article (Conservative lawyers say Trump undermines the rule of law) lists Federalist Society attorney members airing concerns about Trump's disregard for the law, including this paragraph:
"The new group also includes Tom Ridge, a former governor of Pennsylvania and secretary of homeland security in the Bush administration; Peter D. Kreisler, a former acting attorney general in the Bush administration; two prominent conservative law professors, Jonathan H. Adler and Orin S. Kerr; and Lori S. Meyer, a lawyer who is married to Eugene B. Meyer, the president of the Federalist Society..."
What's wrong with this picture?
Ms. Meyer, listed last (and the only one listed without a bold type link to her bio) is an accomplished attorney, firm founder and partner, and has a degree in accounting as well as law which allows her to prevail in complicated financial question cases according to this online bio.

Instead, the Times buries her - and her alone-- on its roster of Federalist Society attorneys by defining her "qualification" simply as the fact that she is the wife of the Federalist Society president (whose linked bio follows his wife's listing.)
If last Tuesday's election results don't teach you anything else, they should tell the NYT--and everyone-- that American women (and women worldwide) no longer should be,-- nor do they wish to be-- evaluated and described simply in terms on who they sleep with! (Atty. George T. Conway, also on the list, is linked to his own multi-page bio, not simply assumed to be worthy of mentioning because he sleeps with Trump top aide Kellyanne Conway (mentioned, but not bio-linked to her husband's name.)
A correction in merited here, as much as it would be if you misspelled Atty. Lori K. Meyer's name, since you misrepresent her standing and (unlisted) personal qualifications. She can stand alone on a list of her peers whoever her husband may be.
